Configure Rapid GO settings to print labels when a user signs in using either an iPad / Android tablet or the Rapid GO QR code
Background:
As part of the Rapid Terminal app setup, you have the option to enable label printing when users sign in. You can configure the system to print labels only when users sign in via an iPad or Android tablet, or allow it to print labels for all sign-ins, including those done via the Rapid GO QR code on a user's personal mobile.
This article outlines the steps to enable label printing when a user signs in using either the iPad or Android tablet or Rapid GO QR code.
Please note that there are two scenarios:
- At your site, you are only using one iPad / Android tablet along with the Rapid GO QR code.
- At your site, you are using more than one iPad / Android tablet along with the Rapid GO QR code.
Please follow the steps for your relevant scenario.
Scenario A: Only one iPad / Android tablet onsite
- Go to Rapid Access > Site Info.
- Select your site.
- Go to the 'Rapid GO' tab:

- In the 'Location' option, ensure that 'Default' is selected from the dropdown.
- In the 'Configuration' option, ensure that 'Default' is selected:

- Scroll down to the 'Per-Learner Type Settings' section.
- Select the learner type you wish to enable label printing for from the dropdown.

- Scroll to the bottom of the page.
Ensure the '
Enable Hardware | Label Printer' setting is toggled to '
On'.

Scenario B: More than one iPad / Android tablet onsite
- Go to Rapid Access > Site Info.
- Select your site.
- Go to the 'Rapid GO' tab:

- In the 'Location' option, press 'New':

- Set the 'Location Name' to the physical location onsite (e.g., Reception, Security).
- Select 'Default' from the 'Configuration' dropdown:

- Select the new location from the 'Location' dropdown.
- Switch the 'Enable Rapid GO for this location' option to 'On'.
- Press 'Update':

- Scroll down to the 'Per-Learner Type Settings' section.
- Select the learner type you wish to enable label printing for from the dropdown.

- Scroll to the bottom of the page.
Ensure the '
Enable Hardware | Label Printer' setting is toggled to '
On'.

Repeat steps 4-13 for the required number of iPads / Android tablets onsite.
