Configure Rapid GO settings to print labels when a user signs in using an iPad / Android tablet
Background:
As part of the Rapid Terminal app setup, you have the option to enable label printing for when users sign in to site. You can configure the system to print labels only when users sign in via an iPad or Android tablet, or allow it to print labels for all sign-ins, including those done via the Rapid GO QR code on a user's personal mobile.
This article outlines the steps to enable label printing only when a user signs in using the iPad or Android tablet (and not when using the Rapid GO QR code).
- Go to Rapid Access > Site Info.
- Select your site.
- Go to the Rapid GO tab:

- Ensure the iPad you're setting up is selected from the Location dropdown.
Press the New button to the right of the Configuration dropdown:
Note: Keep note of the Configuration currently selected within the Default Location. You'll need this in the next steps.
Name the configuration clearly so you know it's for label printing
E.g., Tablet Label Printing
- To keep your current sign-in setup exactly the same as before, look for the Copy Existing dropdown and select the configuration you noted down in Step 5.
Press the
Save button:

- Select the newly created configuration from the Configuration dropdown:

- Scroll down to the Per-Learner Type Settings section.
- Select the Learner Type you wish to enable label printing for from the dropdown:

- Scroll to the bottom of the page.
Turn on the Enable Hardware | Label Printer option.
