How to create a sub-location on Rapid GO

How to create a sub-location on Rapid GO

Background:

If you are using the Rapid Terminal app across multiple iPad or Android devices on a single site, we highly recommend creating sub-locations. This allows you to break that single site down into specific areas, letting you activate individual devices with clear names (like reception or security) for much easier device management.

Creating a sub-location:

  1. Go to Rapid Access > Site Info.
  2. Select your site.
  3. Press the Activate button:

  4. Go to the Rapid GO tab.
  5. To the right of the Location option, press New:
    Info
Note: Take note of the configuration selected under Configuration when the Default Location is selected. This will be used again shortly.

  6. In the popup, enter a name for the Location based on where the iPad is located onsite to help distinguish between devices.
    Info
    e.g., Reception #1, Reception #2, Security
  7. Under Configuration, choose the same configuration that was used for the Default location.
  8. Press the Save button:

  9. Select the newly created location from the Location dropdown:

  10. Turn on the Enable Rapid GO for this location setting.
  11. Press the Update button:
