How to create a sub-location on Rapid GO
Background:
If you're using the Rapid Terminal app on iPad or Android devices, we recommend creating sub-locations. This makes managing multiple devices easier, as you can assign each one a clear name. Sub-locations also allow you to activate multiple devices for different areas onsite.
Creating a sub-location:
- Go to Rapid Access > Site Info.
- Select your site.
- Press 'Activate':

- Go to the 'Rapid GO' tab.
- To the right of the 'Location' option, press 'New':
TIP: Take note of the configuration selected under Configuration when the Default location is selected. This will be used again shortly.

- In the popup, enter a name for the 'Location' based on where the iPad is located onsite (e.g. Reception #1, Reception #2, Security) to help distinguish between devices.
- Under 'Configuration', choose the same configuration that was used for the 'Default' location (see TIP above).
- Press 'Save':

- Select the newly created location from the 'Location' dropdown:

- Turn on the 'Enable Rapid GO for this location' setting.
- Press 'Update':
