Client-supplied hardware requirements for the Rapid Access system

The below details the minimum specifications for Windows-based computers to operate Rapid's Visitor Access System (VAS). Additionally, the below highlights any unsupported specifications.



Supported specifications:
Devices with any of these specifications can operate the Rapid's Visitor Access System (VAS).
Supported CPUs:
  1. Intel Core 3 / i3 (Must have TPM 2.0)
  2. AMD Ryzen (Must have TPM 2.0)
Supported Operating Systems:
  1. Windows 11 Pro
  2. Windows 11 Enterprise – Supported, if connecting to domain a meeting with Rapid and your IT Team may need to occur. To ensure our application works with your company image and Group Policy (Domain) settings.
General Requirements:
  1. Memory Requirement (RAM): 4GB
  2. Graphics Card: Integrated Video Card
  3. Network card: Ethernet or Wireless Card
  4. HDD: 64GB Storage Space
  5. Monitor:
    1. Touch Screen monitor (if touch input is desired)
    2. Capable of displaying 1920x1080/1920x1200/1920x1280/1800x1200 pixel resolution
    3. Internal webcam preferred
Label Printer:
  1. Wired USB Printer (Brother QL-700 or Brother QL-800) 
  2. Wireless/Network Printer (Brother QL-810W or Brother QL-820NWB) 
**QL-700 & QL-820NWB models recommended.




Unsupported Specifications:
Devices with any of these specifications cannot operate Rapid's Visitor Access System (VAS).

Unsupported CPUs:
  1. Intel and AMD CPUs without TPM 2.0
  2. Qualcomm ARM (Phone CPU)
  3. Microsoft SQ Processors (E.g. Surface Pro X)
  4. Snapdragon (E.g. Surface Pro 11 Copilot+ with Snapdragon X Plus)
Unsupported Operating Systems:
  1. Mac
  2. Linux
  3. Custom Operating Systems
  4. Windows 10 - Microsoft is ending updates in September 2025, we do not recommend providing a device with Windows 10 installed.
  5. Windows 11 Home –We do not recommend as it requires a Microsoft account (This locks it down to a certain user and is not friendly in a business environment)
