What is the difference between Responsible and Supervised worker?
The Responsible and Supervised worker selection is part of the work order submission during the sign‑in process.
Responsible Worker
The Responsible worker is the person who submits the work order and creates any required high‑risk permits on behalf of their company. They are responsible for submitting the work order for approval and closing it once work for the day is complete.
During sign‑out, the Responsible worker can either close the work order and sign out all supervised workers, or assign a supervised worker to become the new Responsible worker. This transfers all responsibilities to that worker.
If you are the first person signing into the work order for the day, you must select Responsible worker.
Supervised Worker
The Supervised worker refers to any individual who signs into an active work order that has already been submitted for the day. If work is already in progress and a Responsible worker is signed in, additional workers must sign in as supervised.
A worker can only sign in as supervised if a Responsible worker has already submitted the work order for the day and remains signed in.
