What is a permit group?

A permit group is a feature within the Permit to Work module that lets you define a set of sign‑on questions workers must answer when submitting a work order. These questions relate to the type of high‑risk work being carried out onsite. If a worker answers Yes to a specific high‑risk activity, they will be required to submit the relevant permit as part of their sign‑in process.

Permit groups are configured at a site level, allowing you to tailor the questions based on the types of work completed at each site. This ensures workers are only asked what’s relevant during the work order submission process.

Permit groups can be updated at any time. If you need to add or remove a high‑risk work type, this can be done via the Administrator Portal under Permit > Settings > Permit Settings.
