How to “force close” an incident

How to “force close” an incident

Typically, incidents can only be closed once the investigation and associated actions are completed. The incidents will be in the “Awaiting to be closed” status.

There may be situations where an administrator may decide the incident can be closed at a prior stage. For example, the incident does not require formal investigation, or it is a Report Only type incident.

The “Allow Force Close Incident” master setting will allow any administrator with the “Close incident” permission activated to close an incident on a case-by-case basis.

To activate this setting, please contact Rapid Support. This will allow closure of any incident, except “Partially submitted” incidents.
