How to close a corrective action
Once a corrective action has been finalised, you will need
to close out the action. Once all associated actions are completed, the
incident will progress from “Has corrective actions open” status to “Awaiting
to be closed” status.
Click
on the “Corrective Actions” tab to navigate to the Corrective
Actions page.
Search
for the corrective actions associated with a particular incident by using
the “Filters” on the left-hand side.
Type the incident number
in the “Keywords” filter to view actions for a specific incident.
Select the “Show all
assigned to me” checkbox, to view all corrective actions allocated to
you.
Click
on the corrective actions “short description”, to view the “Corrective
Actions Details” window. Alternatively, click on the “menu dots”
to the right of the corrective action, and select “Close corrective
action” button from the menu options.
In
the Corrective Actions Details window, select the blue “Close
corrective action” button at the top right of the screen.
Enter
the information in the “Reason for closing corrective action”
field.
Select
the “Yes” or “No” radio button for “Should this
corrective action be reviewed at a later date?” If “Yes” is
selected, a date field will appear. Note: the action will progress
to “Scheduled” status as a review has been scheduled.
Upload
any relevant files and photos in the “Supporting documents” section
and click “Save.”
- Note: Add supporting documents by
browsing files, dragging them in, or scanning the QR code to upload from your
phone.
Hint: to quickly navigate to the corrective actions
for a particular incident, click the “Corrective Actions” option from
