What is a host?

In Rapid Access, a host is the person a visitor selects from a list of nominated hosts during their sign‑in, indicating who they are visiting. Sites can configure notifications so that, when a host is selected, they receive site‑specific notifications related to the visitor’s sign‑in events.

Hosts can receive notifications via SMS or email. While both are not required, at least one notification method must be configured when the host is created.
