My Rapid ID (QR code) won't load

Solutions when your Rapid ID QR code doesn't appear.

Critical: QR codes require an internet connection. They cannot be generated offline.

Check Your Internet Connection

This is the most common cause. Your QR code is generated by our secure server.

  1. Make sure WiFi or mobile data is connected
  2. Try loading a webpage to test your connection
  3. Switch between WiFi and mobile data
  4. Move to an area with better signal

QR Code Expired

QR codes are valid for 1 minute only.

  • If you see "Expired", tap the Refresh button
  • A new QR code will be generated (requires internet)

Wait and Try Again

If the server is experiencing high traffic:

  1. Wait a few seconds
  2. Tap Refresh or close and reopen the QR screen
  3. Try again

Clean Your Phone Screen

If scanning fails at the terminal:

  • Clean any dirt, smudges, or fingerprints from your screen
  • Make sure screen protectors aren't scratched over the QR area
  • Screen brightness should automatically maximize

Check for App Updates

An outdated app may have issues:

  1. Open Google Play Store
  2. Check for Rapid Worker updates
  3. Install any available updates

Still Not Working?

If you're at a work site and can't generate your QR code:

  1. Contact site security/management
  2. They may have an alternative check-in method
  3. Report the issue to support for investigation
