How to access the administrator profile on a Rapid Access kiosk

The administrator profile allows you to exit the Rapid Access sign-in application and gain access to the backend operating system of the device.

Note: You require a password to sign into the administrator profile. Please reach out to the Rapid Support team to request these credentials at support@rapidglobal.com or 1800 307 595.

Access the administrator profile

  1. Connect a keyboard to the kiosk device.
  2. Press CTRL + ALT + DEL on your keyboard.
    Note: If you do not have a keyboard available and are using a Surface Pro, you can press and release the Power and Volume Down buttons simultaneously instead.


  3. Select the Switch User option:
    Note: The screen colour may be black or blue, depending on your device model.



  4. Select Admin from the list of users in the bottom-left corner.
  5. Enter the password for the Admin account.
    Note: Refer to the note at the start of this article for how to find the credentials.
  6. Click the Arrow icon to log in:



First time login steps

If this is your first time logging into the Admin account on this device, please complete the following final steps:
  1. Wait for setup: Allow a few moments for the device to configure and set up your profile.



  2. Accept Privacy Settings: Review and click the Accept button for the device's privacy settings.



  3. Access Desktop: You will now be successfully logged into the Admin account desktop.
