Why Do I Need a Profile Photo?
Your profile photo is used for identity verification at work sites. It helps confirm that you are the person checking in with your Rapid ID.
Steps
Step 1: Access Profile Photo
You may be prompted to add a photo during registration, or you can update it later from your Profile settings.
Step 2: Position Your Face
The camera will show an oval guide. Position your face inside the oval.
Step 3: Follow the On-Screen Guidance
The app provides instructions:
- "Move closer" - if your face is too far away
- "Move back" - if your face is too close
- "Center your face" - if you're off to the side
- "Hold still" - when perfectly positioned
Step 4: Automatic Capture
When your face is correctly positioned, the photo is captured automatically.
Step 5: Review and Confirm
Review your photo. Tap Use Photo to confirm or Retake to try again.
Tips for a Good Photo
- Lighting: Face a light source (window or lamp). Avoid backlighting.
- Position: Look directly at the camera
- Clear view: Remove sunglasses, hats, or anything covering your face
- Background: A plain background works best
- Expression: Neutral expression, similar to a passport photo
Alternative: Select from Gallery
If face detection isn't working, you can:
1. Tap Select from Gallery
2. Choose an existing photo
3. The app will validate that a face is detected
