👷 Safety Checks

Safety checks in Aware gives you an overview of the Safety PPE detected on and the pass rate over a specific period of time.

Using strategically place cameras, if a person is detected on the camera, Aware will detect additional safety requirements such as PPE or prohibited devices.

Currently Aware’s safety checks detects helmets, hi-vis vests, and mobile phones. If you are interested in the detection of the other objects related to PPE please contact support@rapidglobal.com.

There are 2 ways to view safety checks:

  • In detail relative to an event with a person detected recorded in Aware.

  • An overview of all person detected events and the pass rate of all events recorded in a selected time range.

Safety Checks in Events

When a person is detected on the camera, the event is recorded in Aware. If Safety Checks is turned on, the events recorded when a person is detected will reveal the Safety Checks conducted on the event.

To access Safety Checks of a person detected event in Aware, go to the Activity Tab > Events > Select a person detected event (Match or No Match) to reveal the safety check for that event specified.

In the detail view of the event recorded, Aware will highlight which Safety Checks were conducted (PPE or Phone detection) and whether the Safety check was a pass or failure.

The Safety Checks view in Activity gives an overview of safety checks conducted on the overall person detected events recorded of a selected time range in Aware.

To access this view, go to Activity Tab > Safety Checks.

Opening Safety Checks view will give 2 widgets on the top of the page displaying:

  • On the left: A pie chart with the amount Safety checks conducted with displaying a pass rate in %.

    • This widget can also be changed into a trend graph which compares pass rate of the selected time range selected against the previous time range selected.

  • On the right: A pie chart of the number of failures detected and of a list of which check was failed.

If a time range of a week or a month is selected a heat map of compliance checks will display all the checks that failed throughout the week and the time frame detected. The darker the colour of the box means the higher the amount of failures detected during that time.

  • This graph can also be toggled to view only compliance checks that have passed, turning the boxes green to indicate a pass.

A list of the safety check equipments are available for review on this page. Each item will indicate the pass rate, number of recorded events with a pass and number of recorded of events with a failure.

  • This list can be exported into a csv report, displayed in the same format that Aware presents the data.

  • The list can be arranged by:

    • Alphabetically by the safety check items listed

    • Pass rate

    • Events passed

    • Events failed
