Thermometer Power Issues

Thermometer Power Issues

The infrared thermometer we support requires power to operate.

Power can come from two sources:

  • Using the cable included with the thermometer, connected to a power source.

  • Using a 18650 lithium battery (2000mAh) to power it.

We recommend using the cord and charger as the main source of power, and a battery as a backup power option. The table below contains images to help you identify whether your thermometer is connected to a power source or is using the battery.

Connected to a power source

Battery powered

In the images above you can see that when connected to a power source there will be a green bar on the bottom of the thermometer screen, when using battery to power the thermometer the screen will have 2 dots pulsing through the screen.

While actively in use, the battery can last for a few days only; however, it will begin recharging automatically if connected, when power is reinstated.
