Thermometers disconnect from Doorkeeper due to:
loss of power - especially if there is no backup battery included. It's always worth double-checking that the cable is not broken or obstructed, and the power plug works.
backup battery drainage.
temporary Bluetooth connection issues.
temperature was disabled on the Web App 🖥️
Doorkeeper attempts to automatically repair the thermometer in some of these situations, but that can sometimes fail too.
When this happens, Doorkeeper will give a STOP screen when people try to check-in with the reason that temperature was not provided, if temperature is a requirement and the thermometer is disconnected.
On the Doorkeeper app, tap anywhere on the screen to display the Settings button, and tap on it to access them.
If a security feature was also included, enter your passcode used on your iPad.
Select the Thermometer option on the left side of the screen.
Tap on the toggle next to Auto Connect to Thermometers to turn on the Bluetooth connection with thermometers - this will allow you to automatically connect to thermometers nearby. ❗ Only turn off Auto Connect to Thermometers if there's a thermometer nearby that you don't want to connect to. a. Connected thermometers will be highlighted blue and will have a Connected status underneath the device name.
