🚨 Run Evacuations

Rapid Global Aware leverages check-in data collected by Doorkeepers (Pro and Lite!) to help you run efficient evacuations, fast. Check this 1 min demo👇

Run an evacuation

Evacuations can be started from the Aware iOS app📱 and web app 🖥️.

  1. In the Aware 🖥️ Web app, click on your company name in the top right corner and navigate to Evacuations.

  2. On the top right corner, click on the Start button. Confirm by clicking on Start evacuation. This will immediately result in four actions:

🛑 Disallow registrations and check-outs: every connected Doorkeeper will transition to Evacuation Mode and display a message:

📧 Email every person currently checked in to inform them of the evacuation:

✏️ Create an Entry in the Evacuations list with Active status, including a record of the coordinator(s), and the date and time.

⏱ The Attendance widget of the Today dashboard will indicate that an evacuation has been started, and count people marked as safe, to help make sure everyone checked in has been accounted for.

Manage an evacuation

Evacuations can be managed from the Aware iOS app📱 and web app 🖥️.

Evacuations can be managed by one or multiple admins. An admin can join an ongoing evacuation as a coordinator by going into Settings > Evacuations.

Web app 🖥️

  1. In the Aware web app, click on your company name in the top right corner and navigate to Evacuations. Look at the top of the list for Active evacuation. Click View to access the list of evacuees.
  2. To mark someone as safe, simply look for the Evacuee list at the bottom, and click on the shield icon to turn it green.

    1. This will add one more safe person to the Today dashboard count.

  3. When you've finished, click Finish evacuation. This will immediately create a report with the details of the event.

iOS app📱

  1. In the Aware mobile app, go to Settings > Evacuations. The mobile app will instantly load the Active evacuation.
  2. Click on Manage Evacuation to start marking people safe. You can do this in two different ways:
    1. Tap on the 📷 icon on the top right corner, to use the mobile's camera for instant face checks.

    2. You can also mark people as safe manually using the list.

  3. Once finished, return to the summary screen in the mobile app and tap on Finish. Tap on Finish evacuation to confirm. This will immediately create a report with the details of the event

Review an evacuation report

Evacuations can be reviewed from the Aware iOS app📱 and Web app 🖥️.

After an evacuation finishes, you can review the evacuation report by clicking on your company name in the top right corner and navigating to Evacuations and clicking on the View button next to the event you'd like to review.

Delete an evacuation report

You can delete a past evacuation report by clicking on your company name in the top right corner and navigate to Evacuations and clicking on the View button next to the event you'd like to delete.

Scroll to the bottom of the panel and click on the Delete button.
