Enrolling profiles including necessary and relevant information is crucial to generate that best possible reports. But typing details on screen or using a mobile device takes time and is quite error-prone, so we've added the ability for Doorkeeper to scan IDs to collect relevant data, automatically.
Visitors can scan their ID during the onboarding process via iDoorkeeper by tapping on the scan ID button at the moment of submitting their contact details. The ID scanner can quickly collect details from any ID, such as the person's name and address. Once scanned, the information is entered into the respective fields, leaving room for the Visitor or an admin to edit on the spot.
The ID scan works great for Identity cards and business cards, but it can also work with passports, foreign IDs and printed pieces of paper. The scan can happen in one or two steps, in those cases where information is stored both at the front and back of an ID.
This document covers how to enable the ID Scan in your account and instructions you can share with your visitors.
