🔔 Create an Attendance Alarm
Monitoring attendance at your workplace involves making sure people arrive or leave at the desired time. To help with that, we've created an Attendance alarm that notifies you if:
No one is checked in at a certain time, to alert about tardiness.
At least someone has not checked out at a certain time, to alert about exceeded time on site.
These alarms can be triggered by an individual or anyone from a group - organised by labels. Find examples at the bottom of this document 👈
Create an Attendance alarm
On the Aware Web 🖥 app, click on the company name in the top right corner and go to Settings > Location (select desired location from drop-down) > Alarms. Click the Add alarm button in the top right-hand corner.
Give your alarm a name. This will appear in the Detail view of every event that triggers the alarm.
- Select alarm type Check-in - Attendance using the drop-down. Select when you would like to be alerted: for IN or OUT events, for individuals or groups.

To track Group Attendance, choose to monitor INs or OUTs, and then select one or more labels. - No one from a group is checked IN. Select this option if you'd like to receive a notification if no person with the selected label(s) has checked in at the appointed time.
- No one from a group is checked OUT. Select this option if you'd like to receive a notification if at least one person with the selected label(s) has not checked out at the appointed time.
- Individuals:
- To track Individual Attendance, choose to monitor INs or OUTs, and then select one or more Identities:
- Someone is not checked IN. Select this option if you'd like to receive a notification when an Identity hasn't checked in at the appointed time.
- Someone is not checked OUT. Select this option if you'd like to receive a notification when an Identity hasn't checked out at the appointed time.
- Define a schedule for the alarm:
- Set the days you would like this alarm to be active on.
- Choose the time when the check will be performed. In the example below, Nirovision will perform the Attendance check at 12pm every day.
- Define which team member(s) to notify when the criteria are met. Remember that it's up to each user to define their notification preferences.
- (Optional) Post alerts to Slack, in addition to traditional notifications (email and push).
Examples
🚨 Group Tardiness: No one from a group ("Nirovision" label) + is checked in + by 9 am on a workday.
On Monday, at 9 am, Nirovision will look at people checked in at that very moment.
If no identity with the Nirovision label is checked in, the alarm will trigger.
If an Identity with the Nirovision label is checked in at 7 am, and out at 8 am on the day, this alarm will still trigger at 9 am.
If at least one Identity with the Nirovision label is checked in, the alarm won't trigger.
🚨 Group Exceeded time on site: No one from a group ("Nirovision" label) + is checked out + by 6 pm on a workday.
On Wednesday, at 6 pm, Nirovision will look at people checked in at that very moment.
If at least one identity with the Nirovision label is still checked in, the alarm will trigger.
If no Identity with the Nirovision label is checked in, the alarm won't trigger.
