You can pair a BLE Relay in order to operate doors and turnstiles through Doorkeeper. This guide will walk you through doing this.

Before You Start

• Ensure that Bluetooth is turned on within your iPad Settings.

  1. Head over to your iPad and navigate to Settings.

  2. Using the toggle, turn Bluetooth on and look for the BLE Relay device. Click on it to pair.

Pair BLE Relay to Doorkeeper

1. Open the Doorkeeper app.

2. Tap anywhere on the screen to bring up the Settings button, on the bottom left corner of your iPad. Tap on it.

3. Tap on Access Control & select Manage BLE Relays to pair your BLE relay.

4. Select the BLE Relay from the list under the Devices heading.

5. Once the BLE Relay is paired, select the newly paired BLE Relay to view the relay’s settings:

   1. Click on Name to set a name for the BLE Relay.

   2. Tap on No. of Relays to set the number of relays that are being used.

   3. Use Password to set a password for the BLE Relay. The default password is 12345678

   4. Any Identity allows for the option of all identities allowed to trigger the BLE Relay or specific labels can also be selected.

   5. Selecting the setting below this allows the configuration of when the BLE Relay activates:

      1. Allows the selection of None, Open, and Close

      2. Select when the relay activates during the Doorkeeper flow. Options: Check In, Check Out, Break Start, Break End, Stop, and Show Face (while checked in).

      3. Using the Duration settings to set the length of time that the relay is activated before returning to its normal state. Options: Once, 1 Second, 3 Seconds, 5 Seconds, and 15 Seconds. Once allows for the state of the relay to change a single time.
